Hi Ashleigh!

I'm so glad to hear that you will be going to Sochi as part of the CBC crew. I'm sure you'll bring the needed insight to the sport of Ski-Cross to add to the "now that's cool!" comments that you all stirred and brought to the attention of the World back in Vancouver. I talked to John Furlong on air (CKNW) once relaying the fleeting moment that you took to break off a berm near the boom-town turn at Cypress on practise day just to take a break and chat with a small group of us course volunteers who were all on stand-down lazily feeding the whiskey jacks and cheering on the Canadian girls whenever you approached our turn. You thanked us all for our hard work which meant a lot to us (your parents raised you well) and after asking you your name and home town, I asked a small favour from you which was to just have fun and go win the Gold for us. Thanks for doing that for us Ashleigh!
